Our story begins in 45 square meters in Lavezzola, in the heart of the Food Valley.
It’s 1980, when a small artisanal workshop kneads its first tortellini and patents a revolutionary machine: the one that makes garganelli. This is how a family business was born, driven by a clear and courageous vision: bringing hand-made fresh pasta to kitchens around the world.

It is in this gesture — the skilled passage from hand to machine — that what we now call artisanal intelligence takes shape. A genetic code that still guides every choice: uniting tradition with technology, craftsmanship with industrial scale, local identity with global reach.

Our dough: tradition, innovation, passion

In over forty years of activity, Surgital has grown in size, markets, and brands. Yet growth has not taken us away from our origins: we are still the same family, with the same love for pasta and the same respect for quality and tradition.

Innovation has never been a compromise for us, but an opportunity to improve.
Our production lines are designed to respect the rhythms of hand-made pasta, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and sustainability.
We freeze to preserve the product’s authentic freshness, without additives or preservatives, choosing a clean label as a promise of transparency.

This is how we celebrate freshness: “Celebrating freshness” is much more than a slogan; it’s a concrete commitment to offer customers a product that’s good, safe, and as genuine as if it were just made.

An identity in evolution

Staying true to oneself certainly doesn’t mean standing still.
Our vision has broadened: we are not only pasta makers; we are interpreters of Italian cuisine worldwide. That’s why today our offering includes complete solutions for foodservice, ready meals, sauces, and formats designed to meet the needs of increasingly fast, sustainable, and international dining.

Every evolution brings a new way of communicating. It’s happening now, as it always has.
Languages change, forms are simplified, messages are refined.
That’s why we choose to simplify, rationalize, and better tell who we are today. Yet the starting point remains the same: our history, the values we believe in, the roots we come from.

A new visual identity, the same DNA

A new way of presenting ourselves is taking shape, a new visual and symbolic language that will be unveiled at the end of the year. A change that doesn’t break with the past, but enhances it.
A logo that evokes hands, pasta, authenticity.
An identity that expresses even more directly what we have always been: pasta makers since 1980, ambassadors of Made in Italy, innovators who never forget their roots.
A graphical — and cultural — passage: we want every detail, every shape, every color to reflect our way of being. Transparent, consistent, true.

“We believe in fresca”: a manifesto of values for everyone who works at Surgital

We believe in fresca as a category of thought. For us, it means choosing excellent ingredients, respecting artisanal work, believing in sustainability. It also means investing in the quality of life of our people, in relationships with the territory, in training and shared well-being. It means being a responsible company, attentive to the environment, to people, to food safety, and to the value of work. Fresca is the opposite of constructed, artificial, standardized. Fresca is everything we are.

Ours is a great fresh-pasta laboratory and an ecosystem in constant motion, where tradition and research live together every day. Where recipes evolve, tastes adapt, and dreams become projects.
